Platform 4 Group is continuing to monitor developments with the Covid-19 virus to ensure that we keep you and our clients and visitors as safe as possible. 

The New Zealand Government has added countries to their Do No Travel, Re-Consider Your need to Travel and Exercise a High Degree of Caution advice list.

Travel Restrictions/Quarantine

If you have returned/transited from any of the high-risk countries below in the last 14 days, you must notify your manager, not attend any of our client’s sites and isolate yourselves for 14 days after departure date from the country.

Notify your manager and Self-monitoring for symptoms is required if you have returned from the countries listed below in the last 14 days:

  • Italy (other than northern Italy)

  • Japan

  • Hong Kong

  • Singapore

  • Thailand

  • Indonesia

If you have come into known contact with a proven or suspected case of Covid-19 then we require you to notify your manager and self-isolate for 14 days 

Signs and Symptoms

Signs and symptoms, you may have Covid-19 include

  1. Fever

  2.  Flu like symptoms such as a dry cough, sore throat, fatigue.

  3.  Additional symptoms such as runny nose or gastric and diarrhea associated with the above symptoms may be present.

How it Spreads

Covid-19 is most likely spread through

  • Close contact with someone who has the virus

  • Contact with droplets from an infected person’s cough or sneeze

  •  Touching objects (doorknobs, desks, computers, steering wheels) that have cough or sneeze droplets from an infected person and then touching your mouth or face.

How to Prevent Catching or Infecting Covid-19

  • Wash your hands often with soap and hot water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, particularly after touching objects that others have touched who may have the disease

  • Using a tissue and covering your mouth with your elbow when you cough or sneeze

  • Avoid touching other people who may have the disease

  • Avoid shaking hands or greeting people with a hug or hongi

What to Do If you Think You May Have Covid-19 or Feel Unwell

  1. Advise your manager immediately

  2. Seek medical attention-ring ahead to your doctor, medical centre or hospital emergency department

  3. Wear a mask until your symptoms have been assessed

  4. Self- quarantine until your symptoms have been assessed.
